Keynote Introductions:

• Kevin O'Sullivan: President and CEO, Massachusetts Biomedical Initiatives (MBI)
  • Massachusetts Biomedical Initiatives (MBI) is a private non-profit corporation which provides life science incubator labs thereby supporting the growth and expansion of biotechnology and medical device companies, enhancing the status of Massachusetts as the world leader in the medical industry.
• Deirdre E. Sanders: Chair,  WPI Venture Forum Executive Board
  • The WPI Venture Forum serves innovative entrepreneurs with programs and resources relevant to technology entrepreneurship. The programs are open to the public, but one can become a member of the organization for an annual fee and enjoy free admission to events.

As winter moves behind us and summer beckons on the horizon it’s time to shake off the cold and spring into networking mode.  The Worcester Polytechnic Venture Forum (WPI) Venture Forum and the Massachusetts Biomedical Initiatives (MBI) will be holding our first networking event of 2012 highlighting all that is life science.  During the course of the evening attendees will have the opportunity to connect with and learn about some of the amazing science taking place at Gateway Park through short presentations by researchers at the park.  Attendees will also have an opportunity to tour of the facility and learn firsthand about the life science resources available in our own backyard.  Speakers for the evening include:

1. Justin Mih, Matrigen Life Technologies-Softwell:  Transforming the Landscape of Cell Structure

2. Christopher Lambert - Commercial Films:  Opportunities in Surface Science

Please join us for an amazing evening of science, innovation, and networking. Event registration is free and required with event sign-in beginning at 5:00 PM at Gateway Park. Presentation and facilities tours will follow from 5:45 PM on and be ongoing throughout the evening. Light food and refreshments will be provided.
