Monthly Programs

Monthly Programs are held on the second Tuesday of each month, September through June, at Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI) in the Campus Center - Odeum Room. Programs are educational and provide networking opportunity in a friendly and open atmosphere. Some months feature a guest speaker, case presentation and expert panel critique, while other months feature interactive multi-panel member discussions. Audience members are encouraged interact with presenters before, during, and after presentations. We are a non-profit program, so admission is tax-deductible. Pizza and beverages are available at each program. Food court on premise.

Contest Programs

Annual contests are held in June (Five-Minute Pitch Contest) and November (Business Plan Contest). More information is available under the Contests menu link.

Spotlight on Entrepreneurs

Entrepreneurs may deliver a one-minute Elevator Pitch for funding, once per season, per business idea. See "Spotlight on Entrepreneurs" link in the Programs menu for guidelines.

Admission

• Members, WPI employees, sponsor guests, and college students with valid ID: Free
• WPI alumni and past case presenters: $15
• Alliance Partner Organizations: $20 in advance, $30 at the door
• General Public: $30

Registration

Register and pay in advance 24 hours before the program and you will have a printed name tag waiting for you at the registration table.  

Typical Evening Agenda

Note: The November and June contest programs begin at 6:00 p.m. - 30 minutes earlier than other Monthly Programs.

5:30 P.M.	Doors open for registration and networking
6:30	Guest Speaker. After the talk, the audience may question the speaker.
7:15	Spotlight on Entrepreneurs. Entrepreneurs deliver a one-minute elevator pitch.
7:25-7:45	Networking and refreshments break
7:50	Case Presentation by a new technology business executive immediately followed by expert panel critique of company and questions and comments from the audience.
8:30 P.M.	Program adjourns - but many members stay to network with speakers, panelists, case presenters, and other members of the audience.
