About the Membership Committee

The WPI Venture Forum (WPI VF) has a vital need to attract and maintain a growing membership in its organization to provide superior networking experiences for members and visitors and to support operations. The Membership Committee plays a major role in membership recruiting and retention programs and initiatives.

Mission:

To recruit and retain WPI Venture Forum members.

Function:

Committee members are responsible for identifying and recruiting prospective members and maximizing member retention through the benefits of membership. Specifically, the Membership Committee, working in cooperation with the Marketing Committee, the Newsletter Staff, and the WPI VF Executive Board, is responsible for increasing the number of members and ensuring the retention of these members by identifying and developing services and benefits that best meet their needs.

Duties:

Recommend policies, procedures, strategies and initiatives for increasing the WPI VF membership base and enhancing the value of WPI VF membership
Attend WPI VF Monthly Programs and network with attendees to gather membership-related input
Report issues and concerns to the Executive Board for further discussion
Solicit and compile agenda items for committee meetings (Chair/Co-chairs)
Assemble annual committee budget and deliver to Finance Committee by October of the program year
