John Rainey

John Rainey, Senior Business Advisor, Clark University Small Business Development Center
John E. Rainey joined the staff of the Clark University SBDC in March of 1995 as Senior Business Advisor and Financial Specialist. He assists clients in developing feasibility studies, business plans, marketing plans and loan proposals.  His consultation services have resulted in over $100 million in loan approvals, since joining the SBDC.  He was recipient of the Star Performer Award for the Massachusetts Small Business Development Center Network in 2000, 2001and 2007. He was also presented with the ASBDC Distinguished Service Award as a volunteer in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina. John has over 25 years of financial and accounting experience in small business environments, including senior level positions at Wright Line, Inc. (Worcester), Associated Testing Labs (Burlington) and Fenwal Electronics (Milford). In addition to extensive experience in business plan development, financial analysis, cash flow, acquisitions and strategic planning, John has taught courses at Northeastern University, Merrimack College and Bentley College and currently teaches at the Clark University Graduate School of Management. Mr. Rainey has both a Bachelor's and Master's Degree from Babson College, is also a Certified Management Accountant, is active in town government and is serving on the Westborough Zoning Board of Appeals.

Louis Corapi

Louis M. Corapi, Senior Vice President and Senior Client Manager for Bank of America, Worcester, MA

Louis has over 30 years of banking experience beginning with Chase Manhattan in New York.  For the past 25 years he has held various positions at Bank of America.  The last 17 have been spent working with Commercial Banking teams in Metro Boston and Central MA calling on clients with annual revenue ranging from $3,000,000 to $30,000,000.  His role is to make available products and services that include Credit, Deposit, and Treasury Management to help businesses grow and prosper.  For 6 years he managed a team responsible for lending to businesses located in low and moderate income areas in Boston and Providence helping to find creative solutions to solve financial needs.  In addition to his responsibilities at the Bank he also serves on the Loan Committee for the Property and Casualty Initiative, LLC whose mission is to increase or maintain the availability of affordable rental housing, promote development in economic target areas, and create employment opportunities and access to healthcare and social services for low and moderate income Massachusetts residents.  He has also served on the loan committee for the Dorchester Bay CDC in Dorchester and been a member of the MA Community and Banking Council.  Louis has a BS degree in Marketing from Boston College.
